About Us
How It Started
Our founder, Chris Cleveland, was a compliance director at a large dealership group in California and he saw firsthand how compliance was hindering so much of what dealerships do. So, he and his founding partner Shane McCallan, an attorney and second generation dealer, set out to build an automated, cloud-based solution that makes life easier, ensures full compliance with state and federal guidelines, and addresses dealership culture as an important fixture in local communities.
Our solution was developed in-house, from the ground up, by our developers so that it addresses all needs, and this ethos permeates ComplyAuto to this day. Many of us are former dealership employees and we have become the #1 privacy compliance solution by fulfilling this promise from day one. At our core, ComplyAuto cares about dealerships because we’ve walked the walk and can talk the talk.
