[Updated September 10, 2024]
Check out our latest updates, including new features and capabilities to improve your experience across our platform.
Web-Banner Geofencing
You can now add geofencing rules to your web banner configurations. State-level geofencing rules allow customization of cookie banner settings based on your state. For example, a ‘low risk’ banner can be displayed only to those in selected states with a higher potential wiretapping litigation risk based on that state’s law, while a ‘high risk’ banner can be displayed to those in all other states.
Data Breach Reporting
The Data Breach Reporting Wizard empowers you to determine if a security incident that you experienced would constitute a reportable data breach. It also informs if notice is required to individuals or state/federal agencies.
Comprehensive Security Scan Reports
You now have the option to download more comprehensive reports related to security scan results in addition to the standard summary report.
Support for New Privacy Laws and Guidance (OR, TX, or NY)
Support for new Oregon and Texas privacy laws is available; for example, if you’re located in Oregon and Texas regions you have access to privacy policy templates catering to these specific state privacy regulations. Also, as follow-up to AG guidance on privacy tools out of NY, we are working with applicable organizations to update cookies banners appropriately (same color buttons for accept/decline buttons). A warning will display for organizations in NY if they are updating/creating cookies banners that do not have accept/decline buttons styled consistently.
Template Hub Feature
The new template hub allows you to customize your assessment to fit your dealership. A template can either be started from scratch or use the ComplyAuto template as a starting point. Additionally, you build out other assessments for needs you may have at your dealership such as making sure trucks are in working condition prior to taking them out, or having managers do a light monthly walk around. The assessments can then be shared directly from the template hub either to users in your account or external emails.
Heat Illness Policies
As I’m sure many of you are aware, global temperatures keep inching higher. This has put heat illness as a focus of attention for OSHA, and with some states such as California and Oregon passing specific regulations to address this issue. This is likely only to become a bigger trend. ComplyAuto has added items to help you stay compliant. We have heat illness policies that cover all 50 states and the ability to record temperature readings in our new operations checklist.

We want to hear from you! The help button has moved from the upper left to the lower right of the screen. It also has a new icon and links directly to the knowledge base article related to the feature. If you are experiencing issues or have a feature request, please leverage this capability to get in touch.

Workplace Violence Incident Log & CA Workplace Violence Prevention Plan
You can now log individual instances of workplace violence and download a pair of additional forms: the Hazard Assessment and Correction Checklist and Incident Log Interview Form. Note: If you are located in CA, a new policy has also been added for the CA Workplace Violence Prevention Plan.
Training Certificate Expiration
When an employee completes an enrollment for a training course that has been flagged as legally required by ComplyAuto staff, then we will print an expiration date on their training certificate. This also applies for training taken in the past.
Organization-Specific Policies Embedded in Training
For training courses that have a policy embedded in them, you can now choose between three options that will control which policy(ies) of a specific type appear in the training:
-
- Display all policies for the employee’s location
- Display a specific policy (either an uploaded, existing policy OR a standard policy created through our wizard)
- Display all policies, ignoring employee location
New Guardian Training Course: Dealership Fair Lending Compliance
Only Guardian customers have access to this course. Adhering to fair lending regulations is crucial, especially in light of ongoing enforcement actions by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Department of Justice (DOT), and other federal agencies. Over the years, dealerships have faced several significant settlements. This course covers the basics of fair credit compliance and the dealership’s approach to fair lending.
